Checking the burner gauze assembly

Danger
When working with high temperature insulating
materials that contain zirconium or aluminium
silicate ceramic fibres, fibre dust may
develop. This fibre dust can be harmful to
health.
Only trained personnel may adjust or replace
the insulation. Wear suitable protective clothing,
especially breathing equipment and safety gog-
gles.
Danger
Touching hot parts can result in burns.
Only work on the burner when it has cooled
down.

Please note
Scratches inside the combustion chamber can
lead to corrosion.
Never place tools or other objects inside the
combustion chamber.

Please note
Contamination of the burner gauze assembly
can lead to malfunctions.
When replacing the burner gauze assembly
ensure that no fibres from the thermal insulation
block adhere to the burner gauze assembly. In
addition, when installing the burner gauze
assembly, fit a protective sleeve.

Please note
Incorrect replacement of the burner gauze
assembly can result in contamination of the
combustion chamber.
Ensure that the combustion chamber is kept free
of thermal insulation fibres at all times.
1. Undo fitting
A
from the gas supply pipe.
2. Undo the screws on the boiler door and open the
door.
3. Check metal mesh of burner gauze assembly
for damage.
4. Replace burner gauze assembly
Seal the gap between the burner gauze assembly
and the thermal insulation block with the flame
tube gasket. See diagram 24.
