About these instructions

1.1

General

This document is part of the product and describes mounting and connection.
Read the instructions carefully before mounting.
Follow all the information in the instructions to prevent damage to the product and
malfunctions.

Scope

These instructions apply to the standard version of the encoder of series GEL 2800.
A product marked with a Y is a customer-specific version with customised features
and/or modified technical specifications. Depending on the customer-specific modifi-
cation, further documents or other documents may be required.
1.3

Target group

These Instructions are intended for electrical specialists and mechanics who are au-
thorised to mount and electrically connect devices and systems, to put them into op-
eration, and to label them under the terms of safety-related standards, as well as ma-
chinery operators and manufacturers.
