Manual calibration
1. Select MANUAL SYS CAL and press Enter.
2. FILL CAL SOL. is displayed. Pour the calibration solution into the measurement chamber and
press Enter.
3. CONC SOL: XXXXX is displayed. Enter the concentration as a five digit number with no decimal
point, or a four digit number with decimal point. Press Enter to confirm.
4. If the 2 INDEP PTS or the TWO REAGENTS option has been selected, the second point
concentration is required. Enter the concentration of the second solution and press Enter.

Automatic calibration
This is only available if the analyzer has this option installed. It allows for an automatic calibration at
pre-programmed intervals, using a calibration solution of known concentration.
Note: If this is the first time this option is being selected, select NO to IMMEDIATE at step 3 in order to input
required additional parameters.
1. Check the content of the calibration solution cannister. One calibration uses 250 to 300 mL of the
calibration solution so the capacity of a standard canister will allow 30 to 40 calibrations.
2. Select AUTO SYS CAL and press Enter. IMMEDIATE is displayed. Select YES or NO followed
by Enter. If YES is selected an automatic calibration will start immediately. No more input is
required.
3. If NO is selected, enter the FREQUENCY of calibrations. This is the number of titrations between
each automatic calibration.
4. CONC SOL: XXXXX is displayed. Enter the concentration as a five digit number with no decimal
point, or a four digit number with decimal point. Press Enter to confirm.
5. If the 2 INDEP PTS or the TWO REAGENTS option has been selected, the second point
concentration is required. Enter the concentration of the second solution and press Enter.
6. INJ. TIME is displayed. Enter the injection time of the calibration solution in seconds and confirm
with Enter.
ELECTRODE calibration
The electrode calibration requires two buffer solutions of known concentration to effect a 2-point
calibration. The buffer solutions should have different pH concentrations of between 1 and 9, or close
