5.3.3 Sealing end on a building's structure

If HVI
long Conductors are installed on a building's structure, the calculated separation distance "s"
®
in the sealing end range from the metal parts in the building's structure must be kept.
The sealing end range ranges from the equipotential bonding connection element to the connection of
the earth connection element (see Fig. 15).
The mechanical contact of the equipotential bonding spring element (semiconductive special she-
ath) allows to discharge lightning impulse voltages to a reference potential. To this end, a conductive
connection to the next equipotential bonding level of the installation is required.
A UNI earthing clamp (Part No. 459 129) is used to connect the earth connection element of the
HVI
long Conductor to the earth-termination system.
