CHARGING PROCESS
Batteries a re c harged f ully a utomatically, m onitored b y a m icro-­‐processor w ith a t hree-­‐stage ( four-­‐stage f or
Standard T ype b atteries) c harge c haracteristic f or o ptimum a nd g entle t reatment o f t he b atteries. A fter c onnecting
the b attery t o t he P WC, t he c harging p arameters f or t he b attery c an b e a djusted b y s electing t he t ype o f b attery
(Standard o r G el/AGM). F or t he O C-­‐W122470P m odel, y ou c an s elect t hese b attery t ype f or 1 2V o r 2 4V. P lease
ensure y ou've s elected t he c orrect c harge o utput t o s uit y our a pplication.

The m aximum c harging c urrent i s u sed t o c harge t he b attery, d epending o n i ts c harged s tatus, s o a s t o s tore a s m uch e nergy a s
quickly a s p ossible i n t he b attery. I f a b attery t hat h as b een t otally d ischarged i s a ttached t o t he c harger, t he c harger w ill s tart
charging w ith r educed e nergy t o a void d amaging t he b attery. O nce t he m ain c harging v oltage h as b een r eached 1 4.4V ( 28.8V)
to 1 4.7V ( 29.4V) , d epending o n t he t ype o f b attery, t he c harger s witches t o t he n ext c harging p hase.
Absorption C harge -­‐ C harging w ith c onstant v oltage ( Orange L ED l ights u p)
The b attery b ecomes f ully c harged i n t his p hase. V oltage i s m aintained a t 1 4.4V ( 28.8V) ( when s et t o G el/AGM) o r 1 4.7V
(29.4V) ( when s et t o S tandard). A s t he c harge i ncreases, t he c urrent c ontinuously d ecreases a nd a pproaches a l ower l imit t hat
depends o n t he t ype a nd s ize o f t he b attery. A s s oon a s i t d rops b elow t his v alue o r e xceeds t he s et m inimum c harging p eriod
