If you receive an incoming call
while you are already speaking on
the phone, you can choose to
place the first call on hold and
answer the new call. BeoCom 3
can handle two calls at the same
time – an active call and a call on
hold.
In order to receive a new call
during an active call, Call Waiting
must be connected, see page 25.
You can switch between the two
calls, or set up a conference
between both calls and yourself.
You can also connect the two
external calls without participating
in the call yourself.
NOTE! The functions under 'Two calls at the
same time' are linked to the ISDN service
Hold.
BeoCom 3 can however put calls on hold
without going via the exchange by using both
B channels. You therefore do not need to
subscribe to the service.
Contact your phone company for more
information on Hold.
When one of the B channels is being used by
another phone or modem, and you want to
answer calls while having an active call on
BeoCom 3, you need to subscribe to the Call
Waiting service.
