Subject:
Troubleshooting for Uneven density in the area 85mm
from the trailing edge
From:
1st Tech Service Sect. PP Tech Service Dept.
Classification:
SYMPTOM
The density in independent dot halftone or halftone areas may be higher or lower in the
area 0-85mm from the trailing edge, when printing under low-temperature/low-humidity
conditions.
CAUSE
 Variations in the attractive force and distance between the ITB and paper immediately
before paper transfer
 Toner scatters in the pre-transfer section after the paper clears the registration rollers,
which produces high image density in these areas.
SOLUTION
Adjust the speed of the registration rollers as follows.
 If the image density is high, set the following to a lower value, and vice-versa.
 Change the value 1% at a time and check the results.
