Subject:
Troubleshooting for Uneven density in the area 85mm
from the trailing edge
From:
1st Tech Service Sect. PP Tech Service Dept.
Classification:
SYMPTOM
The density in independent dot halftone or halftone areas may be higher or lower in the
area 0-85mm from the trailing edge, when printing under low-temperature/low-humidity
conditions.
CAUSE
Variations in the attractive force and distance between the ITB and paper immediately
before paper transfer
Toner scatters in the pre-transfer section after the paper clears the registration rollers,
which produces high image density in these areas.
SOLUTION
Adjust the speed of the registration rollers as follows.
If the image density is high, set the following to a lower value, and vice-versa.
Change the value 1% at a time and check the results.
