Due to the continuous evolution of DSL technology, SpeedTouch™ products are regu-
larly upgraded.
This chapter describes how to upgrade the SpeedTouch™ system software.
You can check for system software upgrades regularly at the SpeedTouch™ web site at:

Firmware upgrades may also be available from your Service Provider. Please contact
your Service Provider for more information.
The SpeedTouch™ system software upgrade procedures, described in this chapter are
valid for both SpeedTouch™510 and SpeedTouch™530.
However, these procedures are only possible via the SpeedTouch™ Ethernet connec-
tion(s).
I.e. to upgrade a SpeedTouch™530, connected via the USB port, disconnect the USB
port and make a connection from the PC to the SpeedTouch™530 Ethernet port as
described in subsection "1.2.1. Local Ethernet Connection Setup" on page
