Function description

Prior to first starting the appliance, firmly
mount it on a worktop. It is driven by an
electric motor with protection against
overheating and restart for added safety.
The rake angle is easily adjustable be-
tween -35° and +35° using a rotary disk.
The chain guide rail has a variably adjust-
able stopper. To sharpen, swivel the grind-
ing head. The equipment is fitted with a
protective screen in order to protect the
user.

please refer to the descriptions below.

Intended use

The chain sharpener is suitable for sharp-
ening the standard saw chain types.
The equipment is not designed for any
other type of application (e.g. grinding
with a coolant liquid, grinding other work
pieces or materials such as asbestos,
which are hazardous to health).
The equipment is intended for use in the
field of DIY. It is not designed for commer-
cial use.
The equipment is designed for use by
adults. Young people under the age of 16
are permitted to use the equipment only
under supervision.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for
damages caused by use other than for the
intended purpose or by incorrect opera-
tion.

Initial start-up

Always wear personal safety
equipment such as a dust mask,
eye protection, hearing protec-
tion, head protection and cut-
resistant gloves when working
with this device and the saw
chain. Only use original parts.
Always remove the mains plug
before working on the saw
chain. Injury hazard!

Scope of delivery

Unpack the device and check to see that
it is complete.
Dispose of the packaging material prop-
erly.

Setting up

1.
Place the device on a stable, level
base.
Ensure that you have sufficient space
in which to work, and that you do not
endanger other people.
2.
Use two screws to fix the device to
the worktop. When doing so, the
grinding device and the rotary table
with the saw chain fixing must pro-
trude over the edge of the table.
Adjusting the transparent
cover
1.
Undo the fixing bolts for the transpar-
ent cover (see Fig. 1, no. 6).
2.
Adjust the transparent cover (see
Fig. 1, no 8) so that the distance be-
tween it and the grinding disc is not
more than 2 mm.
3.
Retighten the fixing bolts.
