Flash Photography

Using flash is recommended when the [ I ] icon is displayed on the screen,
when subjects in daytime shots are backlit, or when you shoot under low
light.

Use the <I> lever to raise the
flash.

Press the shutter button halfway.
Confirm that a [ I ] icon appears on the
z
screen.

Take the picture.
The flash fires according to [Flash
z
firing] settings ( = 251).
To retract the flash after shooting, push
z
it down with your fingers until it clicks
into place.
