Manual Exposure Mode (M)
Long (Bulb) Exposures
In this mode, the shutter stays open as long as you hold down the shutter
button completely, and closes when you let go of the shutter button. Use
bulb exposures for night scenes, fireworks, the heavens, and other subjects
requiring long exposures.

Set the shooting mode to [a].

Set the shutter speed to [BULB].
Turn the <6> dial to the left to set
z
[BULB].

Set the aperture value.
Press the < W > key to select the aperture
z
value, then turn the <6> dial to set a
value.

Take the picture.
The exposure will continue for as long
z
as you keep the shutter button pressed
completely.
The elapsed exposure time will be
z
displayed on the screen.
