Tools and auxiliary materials

4.1.1

Tool

With the tools below you can remove all screws of the
DCU 220.

4.2

Checking and replacing components

Only replace components on which DCU 220
does not need to be opened. With the opening of
DCU 220, all warranty claims will be rendered null
and void.
4.2.1 Testing the power supply unit and power
supply cable
Power supply cable
1. Disconnect the power supply unit from DCU 220 and
from the power supply.
2. Disconnect power supply cable from the power
supply unit.
3. Check the power supply unit for continuity.

Continuity test failed: Replace power supply cable.

Continuity test passed: Check power supply unit.
Power supply unit
1. Connect power supply unit to power supply unit.
2. Connect the power supply unit to the mains voltage
system.
3. Check the voltage of the power supply unit on the
jack plug.

Voltage value outside of tolerance (18V - 20V):
Replace power supply unit.

Storage battery

Storage batteries are available as spare parts and
can be used in both slots.
Check charge status

The charge level displayed is an estimated result.
The actual operating time can be different from the
estimated time, depending on how you are using the
DCU 220.

The two storage batteries are discharged in parallel.
By operating system:

Read the charge level by clicking the storage battery
symbol on the Windows command bar.
By power level gauge:

There is a power level display on the outside of the
storage battery where the charge level can be read
whenever the storage battery is not installed in the
DCU 220.

Display segments light up to indicate the battery
charge level.

Each segment represents a battery charge level of
20%. The storage battery is fully discharged when
none of the segments are lit.
