Setting Up HP-IB Interface for Windows 95
3. Use the default switch settings on the HP 82341C card.
4. Replace the computer cover, turn on the computer, and load
Windows 3.1.
Software Installation
1. Place the HP/IO Libraries for Instrument Control compact disc
(CD) into the CD drive of your computer to load the HP 84231C
software.
2. Open Windows File Manager and select the CD ROM drive (for
example, drive D).
3. From the File Manager, click on
Setup31.exe

5. Verify the SICL and VTL les locations then press
6. When the installation is complete, the message \Setup Succeeded"
will be displayed. Click
7. From the HP SICL group, select the I/O Con g utility to con gure
your interfaces.
8. From the Available Interface Types area, select

9. From the Con gured Interfaces area, verify that the HPIB is set
to 7. This value will need to be set in the GPIB Con guration of
the HP 84125C Utility. Refer to \GPIB Con guration Window" for
more information.
10. When the driver is successfully installed, recycle the power and
restart Windows 3.1.
The HP-IB interface card (HP 82341C) can be con gured and installed
using the following three steps.
Hardware Installation
1. Shut down Windows 95 and turn o the computer.
2. Remove the computer cover and install the HP-IB interface card in
one of the available slots. If possible, avoid using the rst or last
slot as it is dicult to connect the HP-IB interface cable with the
card in either of these locations.
3. Use the default switch settings on the HP 82341C card.
4. Replace the computer cover, turn on the computer, and load
Windows 95.
Software Installation
1. Place the HP/IO Libraries for Instrument Control compact disc
(CD) into the CD drive of your computer to load the HP 84231C
software.
2. From the Windows 95 Start menu, select
Windows 3.1
to load the driver.
