Important Instructions
Read the following instructions thoroughly before servicing or maintaining your printer.
•
Place the printer on a solid and even base so that it cannot fall.
•
Always power off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the mains before
doing any servicing or maintenance work.
•
Be careful when handling parts with sharp metal edges.
•
Be careful of possible hot print head, if printing had just been performed.
•
Avoid touching the electronic components unless you have taken anti-electrostatic
discharge measures.
•
During servicing, pay special attention to how the printer parts were originally mounted.
•
Unless stated otherwise, the re-assembly process is the reverse of the disassembly
process.
•
After servicing any printer parts or assemblies, which are supplied with critical voltage
and therefore connected to frame ground, a test/examination of the grounding wire has
to be accomplished in accordance with the national safety regulations.
