Remote control of Delta-Link MADI HD settings
Some Delta‐Link MADI HD system settings can be controlled via the Analog Out tab of the Pro
Tools softwareʹs Hardware Setup window (menu: Setup|Hardware)
The ʺOutput Trimʺ settings are irrelevant to the Delta‐Link MADI HD because its inputs and
outputs are all digital. Therefore, we can use them to set various Alpha‐Link parameters as
follows:
Channel
Parameter
Number
1
MADI number of channels*
2
MADI NFS mode
3
MADI DFS/QFS mode
4
WordClock input
* The 56/28/14‐channel MADI mode, which allows Sample Rate variations of up to +/‐12.5%, must
be used For Pro Tools sessions with an adjustable Sample Rate. The 64/32/16‐channel MADI mode
can be used for sessions with a fixed Sample Rate. In this mode the tolerance for Sample Rate
variations is +/‐ 1.5%.
