1-9-3. Synchronous Signal for the Audio
Signal
Synchronous signal to use and its setting
When you are using the IKS-A6011/A6012/A6013/A6061/
A6062/A6063 (AES/EBU, ANALOG AUDIO input/output
board), the synchronous signal is used in the following
priority:
1. WORD SYNC IN terminal
2. REF IN terminal
If you want to use the video reference, input the signal
only to the REF IN terminal and terminate the circuit
without entering anything to the WORD SYNC IN terminal.
Either when you use the REF IN terminal or the WORD
SYNC IN terminal, select the same setting (A or B) for
both the REF channels of DESTINATION and SOURCE
on the SELECT SWITCHING FIELD screen in Secondary
station setting Z : SET SIGNAL under the Setup menu.
Channel display of error status W/S ERR
Two channels (CH.A and CH.B) are available for the
WORD SYNC error (W/S ERR) displayed on the status
indicator. (Refer to "2-1-2. Error Indications and Counter-
measures".)
On the other hand, the IXS-6600 only has one channel for
the WORD SYNC IN terminal. For the relationship
between error channel displays and the actual terminals,
refer to the following block diagram inside the device.
