Inspection of the installation Current regulations require the heating installation to be inspected before it is commissioned. The inspection must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. ✔ Description Notes Signature Date Heat pump (page 9) Shut off valves Hot water (page 10) Shut off valves Cold water (page 10)
2 Delivery and handling Transport Supplied components VPD should be transported and stored vertically in a dry place. The VPD may, however, be carefully laid on its back when being moved into a building. 2 x 15/15 straight coup- 2 x 22/15 straight coup- lings lings 1 x non-return valve...

4 Pipe connections General Pipe installation must be carried out in accordance with current norms and directives. Internal support bushes should be fitted when a plastic or annealed copper pipe is used. The water heater must be fitted with the requisite valves, such as a safety valve, shut-off valve and non-return valve.
The enclosed kit includes suitable connectors that can Heat pump be used for the installation. Connecting to heat pump The heat pump supply and return are connected to XL36 VPD. Hot water Supply line hp Return line hp Cold water Install the T-coupling in position (XL3) (blue) accord- ing to image.
To exhaust air heat pump Cold and hot water VPD can be docked with heat pump, for example NIBE exhaust air heat pump. Connecting cold and hot water There must be a mixing valve if the temperature can exceed 60 °C.
5 Electrical installation NOTE Electrical installation and service must be car- ried out under the supervision of a qualified electrician. Electrical installation and wiring must be carried out in accordance with the stipulations in force. Sensors VPD can be supplemented with up to two hot water sensors, one for display and one for control.
6 Commissioning and adjusting Filling Filling the hot water heater 1. Open a hot water tap in the house. 2. Fill the hot water heater through the cold water connection (XL3). 3. When the water that comes out of the hot water tap is no longer mixed with air, the water heater is full and the tap can be closed.
7 Service Service actions Safety valve The water heater's safety valve sometimes releases a little water after hot water usage. This is because the cold water, which enters the water heater to replace the hot water, expands when heated causing the pressure to rise and the safety valve to open.
