Be sure battery clamp is properly tightened. Tighten to 12 ft-Ib (16.3 N·m). A loose clamp may allow the bat-
tery to become damaged from vibration or jarring.
If battery appears weak, have it charged by a trained technician. The battery should never be left discharged
any longer than absolutely necessary (do not leave battery discharged overnight).

CLEANING THE VEHICLE

Transportation vehicles are equipped with ArmorFlex
bodies. TransPorter vehicles have aluminum cargo beds. Use only commercially available automotive clean-
ers with a sponge or soft cloth for normal cleaning. A garden hose at normal residential water pressure is
adequate. To remove oxidation or discoloration from aluminum, use a commercially available aluminum
cleaner paste and fine grade (No. 00) steel wool.
Club Car does not recommend any type of pressure washing or steam cleaning. Such a process (especially
if the vehicle has a soft rear body that is removed) will expose electrical components to moisture. Moisture
entering electrical components can result in water damage and subsequent component failure.
Use non-abrasive wax products. Battery acid, fertilizers, tars, asphalt, creosote, paint, or chewing gum
should be removed immediately to prevent possible stains.
The seats of the vehicle will last longer with proper cleaning. Use a solution of 10% liquid dish soap and
warm water applied with a soft cloth. For imbedded dirt, a soft bristle brush may be used. For heavy soil-
ing, difficult stains or scratches, blemishes, or other body damage, see Section 4 of the Transportation
Maintenance and Service Manual.
NOTE
• DISPOSE OF WASTE WATER PROPERLY.

ACCESSORIES

There is a complete line of accessory equipment available from Club Car and our distributors/dealers. Con-
tact a distributor/dealer for an Optional Equipment book. Care should be taken that these accessories are
properly installed by factory trained technicians, and that they are used in the manner for which they were
designed.
