B. Overhead Meter and Switch Panel Assembly
The overhead meter and switch panel assembly contains four removable switch panels made of
electroluminescent
plastic, three bezel mounted electrical gauges, a seat belt light switch, a dome light
switch, a no smoking light switch, and a windshield wiper control switch.
The switches are located on the electroluminescent panels in royalite trim panels. They are located
centrally above the windshield and on the cockpit ceiling. The switches are of the rocker type.
1. Removal of Engine Control Panel Switch
(a) Remove screws securing cover panel to switch panel. Remove cover panel.
(b) Remove screws securing switch to panel assembly.
(c) Remove wire connector from switch.
2. Installation of Engine Control Panel Switch
(a) Attach wire connector to switch.
(b) Place switch in panel assembly. Secure with two screws.
(c) Place cover panel on switch panel. Secure with screws.
3. Removal of Rocker Switch
(a) Remove four screws securing face panel. Pull panel away from panel assembly.
(b) Remove wires from terminals on back of switch.
NOTE: To facilitate installation, mark wires and location on switch.
(c) Remove switch from face panel.
4. Installation of Rocker Switch
(a) Position switch in face panel and press into place.
(b) Connect wires to terminals on rear of switch.
(c) Position face panel on panel assembly. Secure with screws previously removed.
5. Removal of Electrical Gauge
(a) Remove screws securing overhead meter, switch panel assembly, and lower assembly until
electrical gauges are accessible.
(b) Disconnect wiring from back of gauge.
(c) Remove screws securing gauge to panel; remove gauge.
6. Installation of Electrical Gauge
(a) Place gauge in position on back of panel assembly. Secure with screws.
(b) Connect wiring to back of gauge.
(c) Position panel assembly and secure with screws.
