TROUBLESHOOTING & FAULT REPAIR
Scooter Flash Code (Error Code)
Flash Description
1 Battery low
2 Low battery fault
3 High battery fault
4 Current limit
Time-out or
controller too hot
5 Park brake fault
6 Drive inhibit
7 Speed pot fault
8 Motor voltage

Note:
If you experience any technical problems, it is recommended that you check with your local dealer before
attempting to troubleshoot on your own. The following symptoms could indicate a serious problem with your
power wheelchair. Contact your local dealer if any of the following arises:
1. Motor noise
2. Frayed harnesses
3. Cracked or broken connectors
4. Uneven wear on any of tires
5. Jerky motion
6. Pulling to one side
7. Bent or broken wheel assemblies
8. Does not power up
9. Powers up, but does not move
Meaning
The batteries are running low. Recharge the batteries
The batteries have run out of charge
A) Recharge the batteries B) Check the battery and associated connections and wiring
Battery voltage is too high. This may occur if overcharged & or/ travelling down a long
slope. If travelling down a slope, reduce your speed to minimize the amount of
regenerative charging
The motor has been exceeding its maximum current rating for too long.
A) The scooter may have stalled. Turn the controller off, leave for a few minutes and
turn back on again.
B) The motor may be faulty. Check the motor and associated connections and wiring
Either a park brake release switch is active or the park brake is faulty.
A) Check the park brake and associated connections and wiring
B) Ensure any associated switched are in their correct positions
Either a stop function is active or a charger inhibit or OONAPU condition has occurred
A) Release the stop condition B) Disconnect the battery charger
C) Ensure the throttle is in neutral when turning the controller on
D) The throttle may require re-calibration
The throttle, speed limit pot, SRW or their associated wiring may be faulty
A) Check the throttle and speed pot and associated connections and wiring
The motor or its associated wiring is faulty.
A) Check the motor and associated connections and wiring
The controller may have an internal fault.
A) Check all connections & Wirings
