Planning the Host Interface Card Upgrade Use these procedures to upgrade the host interface in a controller-drive tray by replacing all of the controllers. For duplex controller-drive trays, you replace both controllers.

Insert the battery that you removed from the old controller canister at a slight downward angle into the new controller canister.

InfiniBand connections at 40 Gb/s might use the SCSI RDMA protocol (SRP). When you upgrade to 56 Gb/s InfiniBand connections, your storage array configuration must be set to use the iSER protocol.
