MAINTENANCE SERVICE SCHEDULE
Note:
The Maintenance Service Schedule must be done more frequently on vehicles that are
constantly subjected to heavy use or severe operating conditions.

MAINTENANCE TASKS

CLEAN THE DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTOR

NOTICE

Disable the vehicle.

Do the Daily Pre-Operational Safety Check.
Do the Daily Vehicle Performance Inspection.
Charge the battery.
Examine the dynamic braking resistor. Clean as necessary.
Do a tire pressure check. Adjust pressure if necessary.
Clean the vehicle.
Use WD-40
®
to lubricate the battery charger receptacle.
Have a trained technician:
• examine and lubricate the brake system
• examine the electrical system
• examine the front wheel alignment
• lubricate the front suspension
• examine the Motor Controller Output Regulator (MCOR)
Have a trained technician examine the:
• pedal components
• transaxle fluid
THE DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTOR BECOMES HOT WHEN IT IS
ON AND CAN CAUSE A FIRE, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR SERIOUS
PERSONAL INJURY. DO NOT TOUCH. BEFORE CLEANING THE
DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTOR, MAKE SURE THAT IT IS COOL.
CLEANING WITH THE INCORRECT TOOL CAN DAMAGE THE
COATING ON THE DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTOR. USE A NYLON
BRUSH TO CLEAN THE DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTOR.
