How to Verify Connection Quality Between the XJ200 Master and
the Other XJ200s in the Network
The following must be implemented in order to verify the connection quality between an
XJ200 and the master connected to the X-WEB or E2:
1. Connect and power the XJ200 Master to the X-WEB or E2.
2. Set the XJ200 in place where it is to be installed.
3. Power the XJ200 and press the Test button for a couple of seconds.
4. A test cycle begins and lasts a few minutes.
5. At the end of the cycle, the following remains on:
• Good communication: the GREEN "RADIO" LED is on.
• Insufficient communication: the YELLOW "RS485" LED is on; in this case, try installing
the XJ200 in a better position or connect another XJ200 between the Master and the
XJ200 being tested.

Possible Solution
Ensure that the master and slave module
have both been powered up. Press the Test
button on the front of the XJ200 slave
module. Reposition the slave module for
better reception, and then press the Test
button again. Install another XJ200 module
between the master and slave module to act
as a repeater.
No problem.
Transmitters are not in line of sight. Position
the master module as high as possible.
Reposition the Slave module to a new
position. Install another XJ200 module
between the master and slave module to act
as a repeater.
