FX Page

FX Page
The FX Page allows you to set Aux send levels for each channel, select two Aux FX Chains
and Mod controls, and set Aux FX output routing. You can also enable or disable FX
resources for each channel, which is useful for managing Insert FX usage.
To select or edit Insert FX Chains for each program, use the Chain Editor from within the
Program Editor.

Enable

Use the Enable parameter to enable or disable the effects Chains of the Program in each
MIDI channel. This is useful for disabling unused FX in some channels, in order to allocate
FX unit resources for other channels.
Set each MIDI channel to Y to enable effects, or to N to disable effects.
The PC4 has 32 "units" of effects resources that can be used to load effects chains. Each FX
chain requires a certain number of FX units in order to load, depending on its complexity.
The top line of the display shows a fraction with the number of units used by the selected
channel, over the total number of units used. When attempting to use more than 32 units of
FX resources at once, some FX Chains will not be loaded, and will be displayed as (Y). If you
want to use the Insert or Aux effects Chain for a channel displayed as (Y), try setting other
channels to N.
If the Channel number of the current "AuxFX Ch" setting is set to N or (Y), the Aux Chains
will be disabled for all channels.
