Performance characteristics
Every application is different in terms of its shapee (such as influential reflexion edges), medium as
well as the properties of the medium (such as attenuation and moisture levels) and therefore always
requires an individual basic setup of the flow indicator.
The ambient temperature has no direct influence on the measuring system (FTR20 is temperature-
compensated internally)
Distance of FTR20 from the medium
The measuring signal is influenced by the distance between the device and the medium. With
significantly deviating distances, the device should be installed, if possible, such that the distance
is as constant as possible. If this is not possible, the flow indicator must be adjusted under the least
favourable conditions in this case too
Vibration resistance – continuous load with sliding frequency in accordance with EN 60068-2-6:
• -40 to +80 °C (-40 to +176 °F)
• Excitation: Sine
• Frequency range: 10 to 55 Hz
• Amplitude: 075 mm
• Throughput speed: 1 octave per minute
• Test axes: Three directions (X, Y, Z)
• Number of frequency cycles: 20 per axis
• Test duration: Approx 1 h 38 min per axis
• Test temperature: Room temperature
