Tracking Adjustment

When operating the unit in forward, it is not
unusual for the unit to track slightly right or left
when going for a distance. This is because of
the different tolerances between two different
hydrostatic pumps. If the tracking deviation is
large, check the following.
NOTE: Ground surface should be level when
checking the tracking.
1. Check the tire pressure in each tire. 13 psi
(90 kPa) rear, 35 psi (241 kPa) front. Tire
pressure has a great influence on the
tracking of these units.
It is advisable to check for a large deviation
in outside diameter of the tires, side-to-side,
if the tracking error is severe. Also, check
5
that the front casters rotate freely, and the
front wheel bearings are in good condition.
2. You may be able to make a slight tracking
adjustment by turning the neutral control
rods without affecting the neutral position.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to recheck the
neutral adjustment to be sure the machine
does not creep after correcting the tracking.
