CAUTION! DO NOT SWITCH BATTERY SELECTOR UNTIL THE
ENGINE HAS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP! THIS WILL PREVENT
ALTERNATOR DIODE DAMAGE.
CAUTION! IF YOU CLOSE THE FUEL AND SEA WATER VALVES
AFTER STOPPING THE ENGINE, BE SURE TO RE-OPEN THEM
BEFORE RESTARTING. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD CAUSE ENGINE
TO OVER-HEAT AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PUMP IMPELLER OR
CAUSE FUEL LINES TO BECOME AIR LOCKED.

Let engine idle for one (1) minute to allow it to cool down.
Engage the engine kill button until the engine stops.
Turn the key to the "OFF" position.
