Chapter 4. 377 4 Console Printer
Make-Ready Procedure
Use the procedures in this chapter to place the printer in a ready condition for operation
with the terminal. The printer is not in a ready condition unless:
A. Forms are installed as described in the "Installing and Aligning Printer Forms"
section.
Note: When using margin-punched forms, be sure that the printer's paper release lever is forward
(toward the front of the printer) before you start a job: With the forms release lever forward, the
printer senses an end of forms condition; it does not when the lever is not forward.
B. The printer ribbon is installed as described in the "Replacing the Ribbon" section.
Figure 4-1 illustrates the printer controls used in the operation of the printer.
