To allow for unattended UPS shutdown/start-up and status monitoring, connect the communication cable one end to the USB/RS-232 port and the other to the communication port of your PC. The standard warranty is TWO (2) years from the date of purchase. The standard PowerShield procedure is to replace the original unit with a factory refurbished unit. PowerShield will ship the replacement unit once the defective unit has been received by the service department, or cross ship upon the receipt of a valid credit card number.
