CAB PREP AND SPEAKER INSTALLATION
CABINET PREPARATION
Remove
the upper and lower back panel of the
cabinet.
Mounting holes for the chassis have already
been drilled
and are located on either side of the
chassis cutout.
Test fit your chassis
SAFETY FIRST!
THE TUBES WILL BE HOT IF
THE AMP WAS RECENTLY ON.
Ensure
that the (4) copperhead baffle mount screws
are tight. This is called a "floating" baffle design
and is prone to rattle if the hardware is not tight.
SPEAKER INSTALLATION
Unscrew
the four nuts from the speaker mounting
bolts inside the cabinet. Align the speaker mounting
holes to the baffle bolts then place the speaker into
the cabinet with the terminals on top and facing
the chassis.
Note
the orientation of the speaker terminals and
gently press the speaker onto these bolts ensuring
that the bolts are emerging through the mounting
holes of the speaker at the same time.
QUICK TIP:
Be careful! It's easy to stick a speaker
stud through the speaker cone.
Install
and tighten the KEPS nuts.
SPEAKER WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLY
Twist
the two 15" lengths of black and white 18ga.
stranded wire together.
Push the insulation back
one end and tin them.
Solder
the tinned wires to the plug;
the center and soldered on the tip (trim excess),
and Black to outer bottom lip.
