Faulty or loose cables. Look for loose or obviously faulty connections.
If the cables appear to be OK, make sure the connections are secure. If
that does not correct the problem, try a different cable.
Connection topologies. It is important to make sure you have a valid
connection topology. The Power Supply Shelf can support two ProCurve
PoE devices. Sample topologies are shown at the end of chapter two
2-12
in this book.
Power limitations. Be sure to understand the power limitations of the
Power Supply Shelf when connecting switches. An overload condition on
a port causes the port to be shut down.
