EPS Ports on the Power Supply Shelf The Power Supply Shelf has two external power supply ports. You can connect one or two ProCurve zl PoE capable switches to provide PoE power as a primary or backup source. Each port receives the maximum power, depending on which power supply is installed, either 273 W or 900 W. -

This section shows some recommended connection topologies using the Power Supply Shelf. The Power Supply Shelf provides only EPS (PoE) power for up to two ProCurve switches. In the illustration below, one Power Supply Shelf with two power supplies is connected to a ProCurve Series zl Switch, also with two power supplies. -
