Transport Notes
For transport purposes the disc drawer of the PDT 3100 HV can be locked by
tightening a retaining screw in the front panel of the machine.
Please note that the retaining screw must be loosened before the
PDT 3100 HV can be operated. This is accomplished by turning the socket-
head screw anti-clockwise as far as it will go, i.e. until the screw head is
flush with the front panel.
The retaining screw should be tightened before transporting the machine.
This entails closing the disc drawer and turning the screw clockwise until
you feel resistance (mechanical end-stop). It is not necessary to tighten the
screw particularly firmly.
Please remove any CD / SACD from the machine, together with the pressure
puck, to eliminate any chance of transit damage.
The PDT 3100 HV detects whether the puck is in place. If it is not present, the
disc drawer opens automatically.
If you wish to transport the PDT 3100 HV without the puck, it is possible to
switch the machine off with the drawer open by briefly pressing the
button on the front panel; the drawer then closes, and the device switches
itself off.
