Teleservice Battery Guard
Concept
If the battery charge state falls below certain val‐
ues, BMW will inform you or your dealer's service
center directly in defined cases or the next time
the vehicle is started.
General information
If necessary and possible, the dealer's service
center will contact you to arrange a service ap‐
pointment.
The Battery Guard Teleservice is available on a
country-specific basis and under the following
conditions:
Certain technical requirements are met.
Active BMW ConnectedDrive contract.
Equipment version with intelligent emergency
call or ConnectedDrive services.
To receive information from the Battery
Guard Teleservice, your contact data must be
stored in the ConnectedDrive portal.
Displays
Indicate when the last Teleservice Battery Guard
Call was transmitted, refer to page 92.
Your dealer's service center
Concept
Available contact to the dealer's service center.
General information
In special cases, for instance following a change
of owner or a move, an adaptation of the entered
dealer's service center may be necessary. The
following options are available:
Via customer support.
From a dealer's service center or another
qualified service center or repair shop.
Where applicable, independently via iDrive on
the Control Display of the vehicle.
Services and applications
Online Edition for Part no. 01402989211 - II/18
Where applicable, via the Connected‐
Drive portal on the Internet.
It is also possible to select the service center
menu via the most recent Service Request, refer
to page 92.
Displaying service centers
The service center that is currently assigned to
the vehicle is displayed as a contact in the vehi‐
cle.

"ConnectedDrive" or "Communication"

"BMW Assist"
3.
"Your service center" or select service part‐
ner management if necessary.
The assigned service center is displayed along
with all its contact information.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the follow‐
ing functions are available in a service center
contact:
"Start guidance"
Call contact.
"Compose email"
Updating BMW Assist
Concept
Manual update of all services available in the ve‐
hicle.
