Respiration and ECG

This is the recommended attachment for
typical use and provides the optimal
respiratory signal. However, the
accompanying ECG waveform is not
representative of any standard ECG lead
configuration (although it most closely
resembles ECG leads V3 or V4)

ECG Standard Lead I

This attachment provides a close
approximation to ECG Lead I. As
respiratory detection is negligible this
configuration is not usable for measuring
respiratory rate. The placement of the
Ultium Sensor (S) is non critical.

ECG Standard Lead II

The attachment provides a close
approximation to ECG Lead II. A
respiratory signal can be detected but is
susceptible to muscle artifact. The
placement of the Ultium Sensor (S) is non
critical.

ECG Standard Lead III

This attachment provides a close
approximation to ECG Lead III. As
respiratory detection is poor this
configuration is not recommended for
measuring respiratory rate. The placement
of the Ultium Sensor (S) is non critical
