    Figure 3. Inserting the PCI board Windows Driver Installation The USB 2.0 5-Port PCI has three built-in USB hosts. Two hosts handle USB 1.1 devices and the third host handles USB 2.0 devices. USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices are automatically routed to the correct USB hosts.

    Mac OS Driver Installation The USB 2.0 5-Port PCI requires Mac OS X (version 10.1.3 or later) to work at USB 2.0 speed. Mac OS 8.6, 9.x, X (v10.0-10.1) This board will only work at USB 1.1 speed in these OSs.
  • Page 9 Mac OS X (v10.2.3-10.2.6) Install the board and boot up your system. Insert the driver CD. Double click the Drivers CD icon on the desktop. At the new window, double click OS10.2X. Double click USB2EHCI_V3_1_5.pkg. At the Authenticate window, enter your administrator password, and click OK.
