7 Managing Consistency Groups
Description
Status of data on the primary resources. The
values include:
l Synchronized: only applies to
synchronous remote replication to
indicate that the data synchronization of
primary and secondary resources has
been completed. In the asynchronous
remote replication, after data
synchronization of primary and
secondary resources has been completed,
the data status of the primary resource is
Consistent.
l Consistent: data status of the primary
resource. In normal states, it is
Consistent.
Status of the secondary resource. The data
status between the primary resource and
secondary resource includes:
l Synchronized: Data in the secondary
resource is the same as that in the
primary resource. Data availability is the
highest.
l Consistent: Data in the secondary
resource is a duplicate of the data in the
primary resource (at the time the latest
successful synchronization starts). In this
state, data in the secondary resource is
available but not necessarily the same as
the current data in the primary resource.
l Inconsistent: Data in the secondary
resource is not a duplicate of the data in
the primary resource (at the current point
in time or at the time the previous
synchronization is ended). In this state,
data in the secondary resource is
unavailable. You can synchronize the
data to ensure data consistency between
the primary resource and secondary
resource.
NOTE
Synchronized is only applied for synchronous
remote replication.
