AMP Gen-7 HDX
When you add an AMP Gen-7 HDX device to an existing Nexio system with LLM RAID sets already
created, you do not need to create a RAID set. All you need to do is launch the LLM.

Maintaining the System

Nexio Software Updates
Software for the Nexio server platform is updated on an ongoing basis. Software updates are available
to customers with a valid license via Internet download. Installation Instructions are included along with
Release Notes that detail new features, fixes to customer requests, and known issues.

Backup and Recovery

When the Nexio server is initialized at the customer's facility, a technician must capture the system WIM
image for backup and recovery. A blank USB flash drive is included in the server's shipping container
that can be used for this purpose. See Downloading Nexio Software.

Installing Hard Drive Trays

Removing Hard Drive Trays from the Chassis
The device comes equipped with 8 hot-swappable hard drives. The only type of hard drive disks (HDDs)
that can be used with the AMP Gen-7 are SAS2 or enterprise SATA HDDs.
1. Press the release button on the drive carrier. This unlocks the carrier and releases the handle.
2. Swing the handle out fully and pull the tray straight out.
