Replacing or Upgrading the Dash 4000 Alarm Light Option
Revision A
Field Replaceable Units and Upgrades: Display Assembly
You must partially disassemble the monitor to replace or upgrade the
alarm light option.
Replacing the Alarm Light PCB
1. Remove the handle assembly. Refer to page 8-7.
2. Remove the display assembly from the main unit. Refer to page 8-9.
3. Open the display assembly. Refer to page 8-16.
4. Remove the clear alarm light lens.
5. Disconnect the alarm light cable from the alarm light PCB.
6. Remove the defective alarm light PCB and set aside.
7. Insert the new alarm light PCB and connect the alarm light cable to
the alarm light PCB connector.
8. Verify the alarm light jumper is secured to both J2 pins. Refer to step
3 on page 8-22.
9. Re-assemble the monitor in reverse order.
Installing the Dash 4000 Alarm Light Upgrade
1. Remove the top two screws from the display assembly.
2. Carefully pry out the opaque alarm light lens with a small bladed
screw driver. A notched cut-out is located on the back of the lens.
