Troubleshooting

To avoid injury from unexpected start up, disconnect
spark plug wire before you service your unit.

or cracking
Excessive vibration

Drum is too low
Material build-up
Cutters too tightly loaded
Wrong cutters for application

End plates or bushings worn
Shafts worn

Over 40 hours service life
Drum hitting ground
Shafts and bushings not replaced within 40
hours
Bearing worn
Hex bushing worn
Drive shaft worn
Improper cutter setup
Drum contacting ground
Wheels worn out
Drum hitting ground
RPM is too low
Surface is severely uneven
Pulley is misaligned
Wrong belt
Drum is contacting the surface
Drum Adjustment Dial is set too high or low.
Threads are dirty or not greased.
Linkage may be bent
Cutting too deeply
Rear wheel fork is bent
Solution
Raise drum
Clean the cutters
Remove some spacers or cutters from shafts

Raise drum
Replace the end plates and/or bushings
Replace the shafts
