Therefore, exercise the following precautions: Do not use organic solvent or the like. Do not immerse the HP-100 in dilute hydrochloric acid for long hours. Disposal of the Product When disposing of the product, follow the related laws and/or regulations of your country for disposal of the product.
Outline Introduction The industrial pH meter HP-100 consists of the pH sensor, the sensor holder, the transmitter, and the power unit that supplies the power to these components through two lines, receives signal and provides the output to the extemal receiving instrument.
Set Up Set Up Unpacking Contains one set of transmitter and one drying agent. Mounting the Field Transmitter Prepare a 50 A pipe. Fix the transmitter firmly to the prepared pipe as shown in the figure. You can mount it in both directions (right or left). An optional hood (FD-10) is available.
Set Up External Wiring Make wiring in accordance with the external wiring diagram. Use the optional janction box (JB- 30) to relay between the electrode and transmitter. Use optional special (W-5B). Maximum length of wiring should be within 50 m. WARNING ELECTRIC SHOCK Opening the rear cover may cause electric shock while supplying electric power.
Set Up Connecting the Electrode (or Holder) Open the rear cover of the transmitter and you will find the terminal board. Electrode lead wire varies depending on the type of the electrode. Connect lead wires, referring to the following diagram. pH electrode 6108, 6109, 6151 Connect G, R, T, T, and E (5 wires).
22.5 V to 30 V. • Use a balanced type shield cable. • If there is a possible of lighting damage, install an arrester in two place between the HP-100 and the distributor.
Set Up Fixing the Rear Cover There are small protrusions in the rear cover and the main unit case. To tighten the cover, align these protrusions and screw straight. If they are obliquely inserted, the cover cannot be colsed completely. Mounting the Hood To mount the hood (FD-10) provided as an option, use screws on the opposite side where metal fitting for 50 A pipe is attached.
Calibration and Measurement Calibration and Measurement pH Calibration STD control and SLOPE control STD control SLOPE control STD control and SLOPE control are connected to the volume through the shaft and pin, as following diagram. Push and insert into the notch. The control is connected to the volume.
Calibration and Measurement Calibration cycle Calibrate periodically depending on electrodes condition. Measurement When calibration is completed, you can start measuremet. Soak the electrode in the sample liquid.
Maintenance Maintenance Replaceing the Dry Agent M3 screw Shield plate O-ring Drying agent Cover Put the drying agent in the rear cover of the transmitter unit. Replace with new drying agent at least every three to six months. (Silica gel is available as drying agent.) To open or close the cover, refer to the description in 2.6 Fixing the Rear Cover.
