All IBM color displays have a Power control. The
Power control turns your display on and off. The
Power-on indicator lights when your display is turned
on.
Color displays have two modes of operation.
• 40-column mode allows 40 large characters across
the screen.
80-column mode allows 80 smaller characters
across the screen.
You can change the mode by using the Setup program
on your Diagnostics diskette. For more information
refer to "Setup Program" in Section 2.
The IBM Monochrome display plugs into the rear of the
system unit. It is turned on or off when the system unit
is turned on or off.
Note: If you do not have an IBM Color
Display, refer to the instructions that come with
the display for control locations.
