C. THE HELMET
adjust while wearing gloves. Push the slider back to the first latch
position for partial ventilation. To open the inlet fully, push the
slider further back.
Adapting Ventilation
for Summer and Winter
You can match the ventilation of the C3
to weather conditions and to your per-
sonal preferences. While it is desirable
in summer for air entering the helmet
to cool the top of your head as directly
as possible, the colder air of the fall or
winter can be reduced or directed away.
To do this, lift the central bridge of the
head padding slightly and unfurl the
plastic straps situated behind it in the
forehead area to cover the ventilation
channels.
C.14. ADDITIONAL SAFETY FEATURES
Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.)
The Anti-Roll-Off system developed by SCHUBERTH is designed to
ensure that, with the chin strap done up and correctly adjusted,
a) the helmet cannot roll off the head
from behind,
b) contact between the chin section
of the helmet and the rider's chin
or throat is avoided thanks to
the lower angle of inclination,
c) the consequences of an impact
to the ribcage by the helmet in
an accident are reduced.
