Oscilloscope frontal panel is zone-divided according to the controls functions:
VERTICAL, TRIGGER, HORIZONTAL, etc. The following paragraphs describe the controls
and elements of the frontal panel grouped according to that functional zones.

I/O. Main power switch of the instrument.

POWER. It lights when the I/O switch of the oscilloscope is ON.

CAL. The terminal provides a calibrated amplitude square wave of 2 Vp-p at 1
kHz for probe adjustment and vertical amplifier calibration.
CRT

INTEN. Control the brightness of the spot or trace. The brightness increases
when turning the control clockwise.
B INTEN. (OD-545B only) Control the brightness of the spot or trace when in

sweep delay (B) mode.

FOCUS. Focus the trace to the sharpest image.

TRACE ROTATION. Semi-fix potentiometer for aligning the horizontal trace in
parallel with graticule lines.

ILLUM. (Except OD-514B). Graticule illumination adjustment.

READOUT INTEN. (OD-545B only) Semi-fixed potentiometer for adjusting
intensity of the readout and cursors.
