1. Plug the positive of the external power source on pin 6 of JP1.
2. Plug the Gnd of the external power source on pin 7 of JP1.
3. Plug the Gnd of the load to control on pin 8 of JP1.
4. Plug the positive of the charge to control on pin 9 of JP1 for a normally closed
contact or on pin 10 of JP1 for a normally opened contact.
WARNING : Transient protector
The output relay (JP1 connector) offers a dry contact either normally closed or
normally opened. The relay allows the activation or de-activation of a door strike or a
door magnet but it does not provide power to either the door strike nor to the door
magnet. The input voltage should never exceed 32 volts AC or DC
Always use the proper contact protector for your electrical strike or door
magnet. A 1N4007 diode for door strikes or door magnet using DC, and a 47 Volts
varistor for AC, are provided with the Bridge/IP. The transient protector should be
installed at a maximum of 12inch/30cm distance from the door strike or door
magnet.
In case that you omit to install the transient protector an inductive tension up
to 500 volts can be generated when the door strike or the door magnet or else is
turned off. This tension may wear out prematurely the contacts. Also, it can
cause unwanted electromagnetic interference.
