5.2 C
ONNECTIONS
The figure below shows a typical connection diagram for performing acoustic measurement for Dirac Live
calibration. No changes to the audio connections are needed. Simply:
Connect the supplied USB (type A to type B) cable from the C-DSP 8x12 DL to a USB port on the
computer.
Connect a USB cable (type A to mini type B) from the UMIK-1 to a USB port on the computer.
You will need to arrange a method of holding the microphone in the needed locations and ensure that the USB
cable is long enough. If necessary, a USB extension (up to a total USB cable length of 5 meters) can be used. In a
vehicle environment, it's usually best to orient the microphone vertically (i.e. pointed at the roof) and use its "90
degree" calibration file (see
