Connecting your camcorder to a
computer using the USB cable
(For Windows users)
(6) Remove the CD-ROM, then restart the
computer and follow the on-screen messages.
Notes
•If you connect the USB cable before USB driver
installation is complete, the USB driver will not
be properly registered. Carry out installation
again following the on-screen messages.
•The title screen is not displayed if the screen
size of the computer is set to less than
800 × 600 dots and 256 colours or less. See pages
189 to 191 about the recommended computer
environment.

Installing Image Transfer

Make sure USB driver installation is complete.
This function enables image data recorded on the
"Memory Stick" to be automatically transferred
(copied) to your computer.
If you are using Windows 2000, log in with
permission of administrators.
If you are using Windows XP, log in with
permission of computer administrators.
(1) Turn on your computer and allow Windows
to load. If you have been using the computer,
close all software.
(2) Insert the supplied CD-ROM in the CD-ROM
drive of the computer. The application
software starts up.
(3) Select "Handycam" on the screen.
The title screen appears.
(4) Move the cursor to "Image Transfer" and
click.
The Install Wizard programme starts up and
the "Choose Setup Language" screen appears.

Remarques

Installation de Image Transfer
Vérifiez que l'installation du pilote USB est
terminée.
Cette fonction permet aux données d'image
enregistrées sur le « Memory Stick » d'être
automatiquement transférées (copiées) sur votre
ordinateur.
Si vous utilisez Windows 2000, connectez-vous
avec l'autorisation des administrateurs.
Si vous utilisez Windows XP, connectez-vous
avec l'autorisation des administrateurs
informatiques.
(1) Mettez l'ordinateur sous tension et attendez
que Windows soit chargé. Si vous étiez en
train d'utiliser votre ordinateur, fermez toutes
les applications ouvertes.
(2) Insérez le CD-ROM fourni dans le lecteur de
CD-ROM de votre ordinateur. Le logiciel
d'application démarre.
(3) Sélectionnez « Handycam » sur l'écran.
L'écran de titre apparaît.
(4) Placez le curseur sur « Image Transfer » et cliquez.
L'assistant d'installation démarre et l'écran
« Choose Setup Language » (Choix de la
langue) apparaît.
