Precautions on connecting with
other equipment
When connecting your camcorder to another
equipment such as the VCR or the computer with
the USB cable or i.LINK cable, be sure to confirm
the insert direction of the connector plug before
connecting your camcorder to another
equipment. If you insert the connector plug
forcibly in the wrong direction, the terminal area
may break. This may cause a malfunction of your
camcorder.

Precautions on camcorder care

Lens and LCD screen/finder (on
mounted models only)
•The LCD screen and the finder are
manufactured using extremely high-
precision technology, so over 99.99% of the
pixels are operational for effective use.
However, there may be some tiny black
points and/or bright points (white, red, blue
or green in colour) that constantly appear on
the LCD screen and the finder. These points
are normal in the manufacturing process and
do not affect the recording in any way.
•Do not let your camcorder get wet. Keep your
camcorder away from rain and sea water.
Letting your camcorder get wet may cause your
camcorder to malfunction. Sometimes this
malfunction cannot be repaired [a].
•Never leave your camcorder exposed to
temperatures above 60°C (140°F), such as in a
car parked in the sun or under direct sunlight

raccordement à d'autres
appareils
Si vous raccordez le caméscope à un autre
équipement tel qu'un magnétoscope ou un
ordinateur à l'aide d'un câble USB ou i.LINK,
vérifiez bien la direction d'insertion de la fiche
du connecteur avant de raccorder le caméscope à
un autre équipement. Si vous forcez pour insérer
le connecteur dans le mauvais sens, vous risquez
de casser des broches. Ceci risquerait de
provoquer un dysfonctionnement du caméscope.
Précautions d'entretien du
caméscope
Objectif et écran LCD/viseur (sur les
modèles montés uniquement)
•L'écran LCD et le viseur sont le produit d'une
technologie extrêmement pointue et plus de
99,99 % des pixels sont opérationnels.
Cependant, on peut remarquer de très petits
points noirs et/ou lumineux (de couleur
blanche, rouge, bleue ou verte) apparaissant
en permanence sur l'écran LCD et dans le
viseur. Ces points sont normaux et
proviennent du processus de fabrication. Ils
n'affectent en aucun cas l'image enregistrée.
•Evitez de mouiller le caméscope. Protégez-le de
la pluie et de l'eau de mer. Votre appareil
risque de présenter un dysfonctionnement s'il
est mouillé. Ces dommages sont parfois

•N'exposez jamais le caméscope à des
températures supérieures à 60 °C (140 °F),
comme en plein soleil ou dans une voiture
