Cleaning the SmartLine ele-
ment for the first time
Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth
and then dry them.
Before using for the first time
Switching on the SmartLine
element for the first time
The metal components have a protect-
ive coating. Smells and possibly some
vapours may occur when the SmartLine
element is used for the first time. The
heating of the induction coils also
causes odours in the first few hours of
operation. With each subsequent use,
the odour is reduced until it disappears
completely.
The smell and any vapours given off do
not indicate a faulty connection or ap-
pliance and they are not hazardous to
health.
Please note that the heating-up time
for induction hobs is much shorter
than on conventional hobs.
