Accessing the Tank Float/Float Switch Actuating Magnet
(DG 4080 Only)
1. Open the door.
2. Remove steam generator.
3. Remove the insert from steam generator housing.
4. Remove the top cover retaining screw (Figure 040-7, Item 1).
5. Slide the top cover off to remove it from the steam duct assembly.
Note:
The two spring clips (Figure 040-7, Item 2) will release from the top cover
during removal. They will need to be re-installed into the cover prior to
reassembly.
6. Slide the float assembly upward from the track to remove.
7. Slide the new float into the track. Ensure that the float can move freely
through the track.
Reassembly:
1. Hold the top cover upside down.
2. Install and hold the top cover spring clips in position and slide the steam
duct assembly into the cover.
3. Reposition the steam duct assembly and slide it into the cover track.
4. Re-install the retaining screw (Figure 040-7, Item 1).

Removing the Reed Contact Float (PCB) (S12)

1. Take the steam generator and equipment out of the oven cavity.
2. Uninstall the appliance. See Section 010-4.1.
3. Remove the right side panel. See Section 010-4.2.
4. Disconnect the connection from the float PCB (Figure 040-8, Item 1).
5. Remove the PCB with a pair of pliers.
